Getting To & Around Chicago

Chicago is home to two major airports, Chicago O'Hare (ORD) and Midway (MDW). Public transportation in Chicago is a safe, affordable, and green way to get around the city! Chicago Transit Authority, or CTA, is the name of the public transit here. The CTA has lines that run directly from the airport into the rest of the city.

If you fly into Midway, you can take the Orange Line directly from the airport into Downtown, where the hotel and symposium venue are both located. Similarly, if you fly into O'Hare, you can take the Blue Line directly from the airport into Downtown, where the hotel and symposium venue are both located. You can learn more about riding public transit from the Chicago airports here. Once you arrive in Downtown Chicago from the Orange or Blue line, you can choose whether you would like to walk, take a bus, or grab a rideshare the rest of the way to your hotel. To plan your public transportation trip via train and bus, click the CTA link here. Great news! If you decide to go the dual-modality route and travel by train and by bus, you only end up paying one fare!

If you're interested in utilizing rideshare, the most popular apps in Chicago are Lyft, Uber, and Curb
