OUR PARTNERSHIPS
We appreciate the participation of our member organizations in our programs, research, and network. Our work would not be possible without the support of our members.
Beyond membership, the following organizations have sponsored the Alliance for Water Efficiency by providing funding for its operations and initiatives. Learn more about the projects and initiatives below, and reach out to us if you are interested in exploring a partnership.
Kohler Co. contributed funding to support the Alliance for Water Efficiency’s (AWE) initiative to evaluate the potential for water conservation to help a water utility’s low-income customers reduce their water and sewer bills. In June 2020, AWE released its report, An Assessment of Water Affordability and Conservation Potential in Detroit, Michigan, which evaluated water affordability and water conservation potential at the census tract level.
Whirlpool contributed funding to support the Aliance for Water Efficiency's research on the water and energy nexus connection. A large amount of energy is used to pump, convey, treat, and deliver water, and much more energy is consumed to heat water at the consumer level. Energy is also required to collect, treat, and discharge wastewater. Learn more here.
