Kohler Co. contributed funding to support the Alliance for Water Efficiency’s (AWE) initiative to evaluate the potential for water conservation to help a water utility’s low-income customers reduce their water and sewer bills. In June 2020, AWE released its report, An Assessment of Water Affordability and Conservation Potential in Detroit, Michigan, which evaluated water affordability and water conservation potential at the census tract level.
McManis Family Vineyards, a winery located in Ripon, California has teamed up with the Alliance for Water Efficiency to further its committment to water efficiency.
From July to October, 2019 the winery provided the Alliance for Water Efficiency $1 for every glass of wine sold at participating restaurant and hotel locations.
Whirlpool contributed funding to support the Aliance for Water Efficiency's research on the water and energy nexus connection. A large amount of energy is used to pump, convey, treat, and deliver water, and much more energy is consumed to heat water at the consumer level. Energy is also required to collect, treat, and discharge wastewater. Learn more here.
