Golden, City of

The City of Golden's water supply comes from water reservoirs at the Continental Divide, until it is returned back into Clear Creek as treated wastewater. Utilities staff is tasked with maintaining and rehabilitating reservoirs, dams, pipelines, and valves throughout the distribution system to ensure that water and wastewater efficiently move throughout the system. Water Treatment Plant operators ensure that water is withdrawn from Clear Creek and treated to exceed Safe Drinking Water standards regulated under the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA).
